2 Little Stitches!
Who knew two little stitches could cause so many different emotions?
-first she was nervous. The doctor had to take a sample of her knee tissue to biopsy. The explaination of what he was going to do was the worst part for her.
-a little excitement-then she learned she could get some attention for this. The doctor told her she had to be careful to not rip out the stitches. She has hobbled ever since. She also claims that she cannot clean her room because she might rip out the stitches.
-disappointment- the doctor told her no swimming for two weeks. That rules out the trip to Roaring Springs next week. This also brought lots of tears from my little red head (we were supposed to go with her friend.) She will also have to sit out the first week of swimming lessons. She thinks we should reschedule the lessons but there isn't another time for them this summer.
So we have two weeks till the stitches come out- Two weeks to tell everyone we meet. - Two weeks to show them off. - Two weeks to use them as an excuse. - Hopefully I survive!

I should be taking a nap!
I laid down to catch up on some sleep but the mind was racing. This has been a long week and it is only Wednesday. Certain situations call for laughter though the tears and my Ally is that. We went to the doctor on Monday- talked about the difficulty controlling (I mean managing) the diabetes. Doctor said not much that we can do - she is still growing! Told me not to worry so much. (That is not possible.) Also said that I could let her remain high through the night if I needed more sleep. For me this is not a option I know what is happening to her body when her blood sugar is high. I cannot sacrifice her future health so I can get more sleep. I just have to continue catching a nap whenever I can. But I spent all Monday afternoon and Tuesday feeling bad because I worry so much. Yes, I get the irony of worrying about worrying too much. Then Tuesday afternoon the doctor called back the lab results were in- now they were worried. That made me giggle:) Anyway, they are changing her thyroid medicine, doubling the dose, and we have to go back in 6 weeks. In the meantime, please monitor her blood sugar every 2-3 hours around the clock. See sometimes moms do know best!

12 on the 13th
As I have already blogged I am trying to take the twelve pictures on twelth of each month to scrapbook the ordinary days of my life. To describe my life this month I believed that Tuesday was the twelth only to wake up that morning and discover that it was the thirteenth and so I took my pictures that day. So here are a couple of my favorites.
So these are some of my ordinary or not so ordinary pictures!
